CHESTER TREE SURGEONS
TREE CARE AND MAINTENANCE SPECIALISTS
OUR TREE SURGEON TEAMS COVER CHESTER
AND SURROUNDING AREAS
Our highly-experienced team of tree surgeons give tree surgery services to commercial & domestic customers within the northwest of UK.
We carry out a wide variety of services, including all the types of tree pruning, crowning, thinning and tree removal, including tree stump removal site clearance and grounds maintenance
We specialise in tree removals in “awkward to get to places” – where care has to be taken to avoid other nearby objects and property beneath or close to the tree; whether it is busy traffic issues or pedestrians, or where the access for removal is hindered or restricted.
We are also experienced in working in all kinds of different kinds of tree environments, including urban areas.
Working with trees in built up areas needs extra attention to detail when lowering pieces of the tree, whether it is crowning, thinning, pollarding or removing the tree completely.
There may be many items or obstructions to the tree removal process, such as sheds, greenhouses, garden furniture, fencing, telephone cables etc and other garden plants that will need extra care and attention when planning the work.
Experienced teams will be needed to move, often heavy, falling parts carefully to the ground, where they can be reduced down further in size to make it easier to remove the tree parts.
After getting a tree removed (felled), it doesn’t usually make much sense to leave the tree stump there.
REASONS TO UNDERGO A TREE STUMP REMOVAL:
UNSIGHTLY – A tree stump can disturb the looks of your garden landscape. As time passes they can become more and more of an “eyesore” as new chutes grow.
A TREE STUMP CAN GET IN THE WAY -You might want to develop the area where the tree stump is located. You might want to build a shed or out-building, maybe a drive-way? You may wish to build an extension to your home. All these things will require you to remove the tree stump and ensure that it does not continue to grow.
Hedge Trimming, Cutting, Pruning, Shaping.
We are VERY experience at hedge cutting and hedge trimming. We work with all types and sizes of typical garden hedges. The breadth and scale of hedge trimming jobs undertaken varies from day to day and each significant hedge trimming/pruning has its own challenges. We do commercial & domestic work of all shapes and sizes. No job is too large for us, no job too small for us.
Customers call on our hedge cutting services for a whole range of reasons. A hedge has maybe grown too far onto the pavement or is obscuring windows, doors and views or maybe the hedge trimming job just feels too much for a customer to undertake on their own. Whatever the reason, we are here to help.
Normally we send a team of 4 to carry out the hedge trimming, so it can usually be done in a short space of time.
Additionally we carry out site clearances and grounds maintenance work throughout the area
Chester is a town in Trafford, Greater Manchester, England, on the south bank of the River Mersey, 2 miles (3.2 kilometres) south of Stretford, 3 miles (4.8 kilometres) northeast of Altrincham, and 5 miles (8.0 kilometres) southwest of Manchester. It had a population of 134,022 in 2011, making it Trafford’s largest town by population.
Local residents have previously discovered evidence of Stone Age, Roman, and Anglo-Saxon activity. Chester was a rural township in the Middle Ages, ecclesiastically linked to neighbouring Ashton upon Mersey, whose fields and meadows were used for crop and cattle farming. By the 17th century, Chester had a cottage industry producing garthweb, the woven material used to make horse saddle girths.
The Bridgewater Canal arrived in Chester in 1765, accelerating the town’s urbanisation. The arrival of the railway in 1849 triggered Chester’s growth as an important town and stopping point for people travelling to and from Manchester, resulting in an influx of middle-class residents; by the end of the nineteenth century, the town’s population had more than tripled. Agriculture declined gradually as the service industries expanded.
Following the Local Government Act 1929, Chester’s urban growth resulted in a merger with neighbouring Ashton upon Mersey. Due to the increased population, a charter was granted in 1935, granting Chester honorific borough status. Chester has thrived as one of Trafford’s main urban centres since then, thanks to its proximity to the M60 motorway and connections to Manchester and other areas via the Manchester Metrolink network.

Literally, the sky’s the limit on the type of work you require us to carry out for you, no job is too small and no job is too big(or high, for that matter – us tree surgeons have never had the best sense of humours).
Tree Surgeon Services, not limited to
Providing the best tree removal the North West has to offer, our tree surgeons have numerous years experience of safely and efficiently removing all types of small, medium and large trees.
We have the capacity to remove a number of trees from a location at any one time and to then dispose of the wood in a way that is environmentally friendly. Using our wood chipper, we will reduce the tree(s) into smaller pieces of wood to either take away and dispose of or sometimes at our client’s request, we will leave the woodchip or bark with them to do as they please.
Tree Stump Removals/Stump Grinding
Once a tree or even a hedge has been removed, grinding out the stump will ensure the tree/hedge and its roots will not grow back.
Our stump grinders have the capacity to remove the smallest and largest of stumps in order to prepare the ground for turfing, driveways, paving, re-planting or any other reason as required.
Tree Felling/Tree Cutting
If there is a tree falling and nobody is around, does it still make a sound? As well as the felling – or cutting – of your trees, we also like to put a smile on our clients’ faces. On a serious note, we carry out all of our work professionally.
Removing parts of the tree can be important for maintaining and/or improving its health, as well as it looking beautiful and easy on the eye. Deadwood removal and shaping of branches can lead to not only a great looking specimen of a tree, but also a safer environment for everybody around.
Want a new tree or an army of new trees? This comes in two forms, restocking or new planting. If the land has recently been harvested, we will be restocking. If there haven’t been any trees in the location before, you guessed it…we will carry out a new planting. Either way, the end result will result in smiles all around once the baby seeds turn into full-grown adults.
Ideal for trees that are in a small area of space, dead or just potentially dangerous. They are perhaps of a medium to large size and this is a much more methodical approach to “taking a tree down” where the felling of it isn’t necessarily the best option.
The removal of smaller or tertiary branches, which allows more light to pass through the tree and reduces wind resistance and overall weight. Us tree surgeons think of everything.
A shorter tree and/or perhaps the spreading of the crown will reduce the effects of shading and light loss, can reduce the stress on branches and the entire tree, and even just make the tree more suited to its natural environment.
Hedge Trimming/Hedge Cutting
Like trees, hedges come in all different shapes and sizes, but our North West tree surgeons have all of the equipment that is needed to complete hedge reductions or trim them(including hedge cutters on a pole).
We understand that the privacy of our clients is important so for that reason, we always bear in mind the height/width of the hedges when cutting/trimming them as well as any neighbours that are close by.
As we mentioned previously, these are some of the services we provide for your tree surgery requirements and in our experience, the most popular services for many of our clients. However, if something that you require our help and assistance with isn’t listed, please don’t hesitate in contacting us. We like to think of ourselves as the Batman of the tree surgeon world, however, the only crimes we are guilty of solving are crimes against trees(don’t worry, we won’t give up the day jobs just yet, but that is mainly due to us enjoying our work and being able to serve the good people of the North West).
Whichever service it is that you require, please either click here to call us now or fill in the form on this page for a free instant quote.
Our Tree Surgeon Costs, Prices and Rates
To give you the best price for the tree surgery involved, we ideally would like to visit the property where the work will be carried out first of all, or request some photos or video of the trees/hedges/stumps in question. This will allow us to determine what type of equipment is required, the timescale in completing the job and accurately quoting you for us carrying out the work for you.
